Santonio Holmes

Not much action for Holmes Sunday night

by Dale Redman | Tue, Sep 16th 2:17am EDT

Santonio Holmes had a quiet game on Sunday as Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery managed to play despite their injuries. Holmes had 2 catches for 20 yards. The No. 3 WR was on the field for 44 of the 59 offensive snaps, but was only targeted 2 times.

Fantasy Impact:

When Marshall, Jeffery, Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte are on the field, Holmes becomes the 5th option in Marc Trestman's offense. There simply aren't enough passes to go around to make Holmes a more fantasy relevant player. He is a WR5/6 only worth rostering if Jeffery or Marshall go down with injury and miss time. If you grabbed him as insurance for Marshall or Jeffery, feel free to drop Holmes.
