Matthews isn't a lock to suit up Week 1 against the Jets, though reports say he's trending in that direction. It will be worth monitoring for those considering the former Eagles' WR. If Matthews should miss the game it would open up even more opportunity for rookie WR Zay Jones and veteran TE Charles Clay in the passing game. LeSean McCoy could also benefit from the absence, as he's expected to be more involved in the passing game this season.
