Elijah McGuire was able to see extended action in the Jets' Week 3 victory at home over the Miami Dolphins, as Matt Forte left in the second half with a toe injury. McGuire took full advantage, as he rushed for 34 yards on only seven carries (4.9 yards per carry) and had a long rush of 10 yards. Unfortunately, he also lost a fumble.
Fantasy Impact
McGuire becomes an intriguing option if Matt Forte cannot play in Week 4, as he will spell Bilal Powell and get some looks on 3rd down. But unfortunately, unless you are desperate, there is no need to rush to pick him up off the waiver wire, as Powell is the back you will want to start. We need to wait and see some more from McGuire before he becomes fantasy-relevant.
