Eli Manning expected to start Week 14

by Anthony Cervino | Giants Correspondent | Mon, Dec 4th 2:06pm EST

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the New York Giants will start Eli Manning at quarterback in Week 14. (Jordan Raanan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Now that Manning will start in Sunday’s matchup against the Cowboys, Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard should be considered reliable fantasy starts this week. Although the Cowboys defense plays well at times, their handicap is their secondary, which should allow for Manning and his fantasy-relevant weapons to account for quality production. Still, I wouldn’t trust Manning as more than a back-end QB2 in Two-QB formats in Week 14.

With Manning back at the helm, I don't believe much changes in terms of Shepard and Engram, so continue to treat them as you have been all year.

This is the right move for the Giants, and you wish his consecutive games streak wasn't snapped due to ineptitude of a now, former head coach. While Eli will not be worth using, both Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard get a bump in value, against a Dallas defense that could struggle in the back end.

Eli is going to be motivated to prove that his benching was a mistake. That, and he has Sterling Shepard back in the fold. I consider him a strong QB2 option in Week 14, given that the Cowboys have allowed multiple passing scores to enemy QBs in 9 of 12 games this year.
