Lewis made an early impact this offseason and appeared to be ticketed for a spot in the DL rotation. He was playing both DE and DT and was especially disruptive as an interior pass rusher. Lewis' injury frees up snaps for fellow defensive linemen Jabaal Sheard, Kemoko Turay, Denico Autry, Tarell Basham, and others.
