Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving says he expects to be on the field for 10-to-15 snaps when he makes his season debut against the Jaguars. "That's what they say now but if it's a close game, I know good and well [defensive coordinator Rod] Marinelli is going to be sending me out there & putting me through the ringer. I'm ready for it." (Kate Hairopoulos on Twitter )
Irving missed most of the off season and was excused from training camp as he tended to matters outside of football. He also sat out the first four games due to suspension and was away from the team for several days last week while dealing with a custody battle.
