Andre Ellington has successful sports hernia surgery

Andre Ellington (RB - FA)

Andre Ellington had successful surgery on a sports hernia on Monday, and tweeted "Surgery went well. Thanks for all your support and prayers." (tigernet.com)

Fantasy Impact
Along with what I can imagine was an extremely painful hernia, Ellington also dealt with a torn tendon in his left foot and a hip-flexor issue in 2014, and wasn't the same dynamo of a back that we saw in 2013. It should take two to three months to get back to full-speed from this procedure, but Ellington may be limited in the off-season. Look for Arizona to take an RB in a deep 2015 draft class, and for Ellington to slide into a complimentary role, limiting his upside to an RB2/flex play. We wish Ellington a speedy recovery and prompt return to health.
