P.J. Williams arrested for drunk driving

by Alex Johnson | Wed, Jan 23rd 10:01pm EST

Saints cornerback P.J. Williams was arrested in New Orleans early Wednesday morning for drunk driving. Williams was clocked driving at 80 miles per hour in a 50-mph zone. He also used a traffic lane improperly and failed to signal a turn, New Orleans police said, via the New Orleans Advocate. He was booked into the jail on counts of drunken and careless driving. He was released after about three hours. (The New Orleans Advocate)

Fantasy Impact:

It’s not Williams’ first incident behind the wheel. In 2014, then a starter at Florida State, he fled the scene of an accident while driving with a suspended license. During the pre-draft process in 2015, he was arrested for driving under the influence in Tallahassee. The charges were later dropped even though Williams admitted he “had a few drinks.” The 25-year-old could be facing league discipline after this latest incident. He is set to be a free agent in March.
