It was reported about a week ago that Newton’s ailing shoulder might cause him to miss all of 2019. However, this surgery sounds minor enough that Carolina’s franchise QB should be ready for training camp. Newton struggled down the stretch last year but has been a QB1 in fantasy whenever he has been healthy. That being said he definitely carries more risk in 2019 than he has in years past.
