If you are in need of running back depth, Peterson should be picked up immediately. Potential owners should be aware that teammate Chris Thompson will still be operating out of the backfield for Washington as well. Further, regression is a possibility as the former MVP is entering his age 34 season and has over 13,000 rushing yards in his career. Despite this, in 2018 he averaged 4.2 yards per carry, rushed for 1,042 yards and scored seven touchdowns. His match up for Week 2 will be against the Dallas Cowboys, who were torched on the ground during Week 1 against the Giants.
