Sirianni sees “plenty of versatility in their skills sets, and both are complete backs.” It was reported earlier that the two would form a “one-two” punch, and that both backs would complement each other. Taylor’s skill set and draft capital have him as the early favorite to receive the majority of the carries. Mack is slated to start, but his current deal expires this season. Nyheim Hines will also factor into the mix. The backfield could be a mess at the beginning, but look for Taylor to emerge as the favorite and carve out a key role in the Colts’ backfield.
