This was a near-given from everything we have heard in the offseason regarding Jeffery’s recovery from his Lisfranc injury. He can be removed from the Active/PUP list at any point prior to the start of the regular season, but if he’s not ready come Week 1, he’ll be moved to the Reserve/PUP list and be out at least six weeks. Philadelphia is now down both Jeffery and Marquise Goodwin (voluntary opt-out) for a minimum of six weeks. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside should have every opportunity to prove his worth as a former second-round pick to begin the season.
