Cam Newton, rightfully so, has looked like the much better Patriots quarterback thus far in camp and Reiss believes Stidham is “fading out of the quarterback picture.” This is Newton’s job to lose, and he’d likely have to sustain an injury for Stidham to even get a chance at starting for New England. He’d probably at that point still have to compete with veteran Brian Hoyer for the starting job.
