Fantasy Impact
The four-time Pro Bowl linebacker was seen on the practice field following a torn pectoral that ended his 2020 season during a Week 2 loss against the Colts. The Vikings were one of the worst defensive units without Barr in 2020, allowing the fourth-highest points per game (29.7) during a disappointing 7-9 season. Barr should help return the Vikings' linebacking corps to an elite level alongside fellow Pro-Bowl LB Eric Kendricks, with rookie LB Chazz Surratt drafted in the third round out of UNC to build depth. Expect head coach Mike Zimmer to field a much-improved defense in 2021, with Barr's return playing a significant role.
