Lions trade up to pick Alex Carter

The Lions moved up with the Vikings to select Stanford CB Alex Carter. The Lions surrender a fifth round pick to move up.

With Mathis getting older the Lions try to bolster the secondary with a young Corner who has a father who was a first round pick. Carter struggled to intercept passes but showed strength in press coverage.
