Panthers QB Sam Darnold completed 24-of-35 passes for 279 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions. Darnold also added five rushing attempts for negative yardage with an additional score in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Jets.
Fantasy Impact
The Adam Gase narrative runs strong. Darnold had one of his best games as a pro in his first game without Gase, facing his former team. While Darnold did not throw a pick, he did lose a fumble. Still, he had an overall terrific outing. Darnold will get a tough matchup with the Saints in Week 2.
