McCaffrey was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings after missing practice Thursday and Friday earlier this week. The star running back needs more time to fully recover from his hamstring issue and was placed on injured reserve Saturday. McCaffrey will miss the next three games and is eligible to return Week 9 against the New England Patriots. Chuba Hubbard will continue to lead the Panthers backfield while CMC is sidelined.
