Baker Mayfield (shoulder) out for Week 18

Baker Mayfield will not play in Week 18 against the Bengals. He will have surgery in the near future to repair the torn labrum in his left shoulder. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Mayfield all but confirmed that he would be done for the season after Monday night's loss to the Steelers. His injury and harness he wore to protect himself clearly limited him this year, and he'll likely be a full go for next year if he does indeed have his surgery shortly. Whether his decline this year was due entirely to the injury or not is an open question, and the 2022 season will be critical to his career trajectory.
