According to Michael Gehlken, a Cowboys beat writer, TE Blake Jarwin recently had surgery for a hip injury. The injury is apparently uncommon for NFL players to suffer, and puts Jarwin’s availability for the 2022 season in doubt. (Twitter )
With this Jarwin news, the Cowboys may feel more pressure to re-sign starting TE Dalton Schultz, who played at a high level this past season, but will command a high price tag as the best available TE on the market. Dallas may also look to the draft, where the tight end class is sneakily good.
