Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is flying to Los Angeles and will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday as reported by ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Scheftor. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The procedure will give Wilson and the Jets more clarity on a timetable for his return. Veteran Joe Flacco has been taking first-team reps and will be the starter should Wilson not be ready for Week 1 and likely as long as he is sidelined. There is still a chance that Wilson is ready for Week 1 on September 11 but once the doctors see inside Wilson’s knee we will have a better idea.
