Fantasy Impact
The problem with having young talent is that you have to pay them all, and now the Cowboys are in contract discussions with both Diggs and WR CeeDee Lamb. Diggs is entering the fourth year of his rookie deal and has had consecutive Pro Bowl nods. Diggs has shown a proficiency in getting to the ball with 17 career interceptions and 49 career pass deflections. According to Fisher, Diggs could be seen as a priority for the Cowboys because, as a second-round pick, he does not have a fifth-year option, setting him up for free agency in 2024. If both sides do not find an extension before season’s end, a franchise tag may be in store.
