DeAndre Hopkins: Cowboys pursuit considered 'unlikely'

DeAndre Hopkins (WR - TEN)

According to Todd Archer of ESPN NFL Nation, the Dallas Cowboys' pursuit of WR DeAndre Hopkins is considered "unlikely" by owner Jerry Jones. (Todd Archer on Twitter)

Jerry's son Stephen, who is involved in player personnel, said that the reasoning behind a lack of pursuit would be that the team is content with their current WR group. The Cowboys made a move for WR Brandin Cooks this offseason, and Stephen claimed it's a reason why they won't chase after Hopkins. Hopkins, who will be 31 in 2023, is coming off a 717-yard season in just nine games, but teams seem to be withdrawing from the race.
