Tyquan Thornton (shoulder) has been placed on New England's injured reserve and will miss at least the first four weeks of the season. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Patriots were hopeful that Thornton could break out this year after being a second-round pick just a year ago, but those plans will have to be put on hold now with his injury. He's on short-term IR, which means that he'll return at some point, but not within the first four games. Fantasy managers can expect rookies Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas to both get more opportunities in the speedster's absence.
