Antonio Allen suffers potentially serious Achilles' injury

New York Jets safety Antonio Allen suffered a potentially serious Achilles' tendon injury on the final play of the team's practice this Thursday. It happened without contact on a grass field after Allen came out of his stance. He quickly hit the floor in obvious pain, and had to be helped off by two trainers. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
After a decent start to last season, safety Antonio Allen soon began to struggle after deputising at cornerback. With an influx of new talent, Allen shapes up to be a bit-part player, and a probable special teamer. As a result of this, he has limited fantasy upside, and is unlikely to make enough of an impact to warrant a place on any IDP roster, or to influence the Jets D/ST.
