Broncos DST continues to struggle but scores on fumble recovery

by Nate Miller | Broncos Correspondent | Sun, Oct 1st 8:33pm EDT

The Broncos defense continues to struggle, giving up four touchdowns and 471 yards of total offense in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Bears.

Fantasy Impact:

After a 70-point embarrassment at the hands of the Dolphins in Week 3, the Broncos defense continued to allow plenty of points and yards in Week 4. Bears QB Justin Fields, who had struggling mightily, took to the skies for 335 yards and four scores while the Chicago ground game racked up 171 yards. Despite that, the Denver unit was able to come up with three sacks and a pair of big turnovers. One of those turnovers was a fourth-quarter fumble recovery which linebacker Jonathan Cooper returned for a touchdown. The Broncos DST is not a recommended option for fantasy even heading into a Week 5 matchup with the Jets.
