Veteran Brett Maher released by Rams

After missing three kicks this past Sunday, Brett Maher has been released by the Rams. (Adam Shefter)
Fantasy Impact:
Maher missed six field goals this season, including two from inside 50 yards. The Rams have not announced who their new kicker will be, but that player is definitely worth a look from fantasy managers. Through seven weeks, Maher leads the NFL in field goal attempts. Whoever takes his place will have plenty of opportunities to prove himself early.
