Okwuegbunam spent the 2023 season with the Eagles after being with the Denver Broncos for the first three seasons of his NFL career. He was set to become a free agent this offseason but will instead return to the team that traded for him as a part of a late-round pick swap. He only appeared in four games, playing 57 offensive snaps in relief of TE Dallas Goedert. He was inactive for 10 games in 2023.
