Mack had a $38.5 million cap hit for the 2024 season. It isn't clear how much of a pay cut he took, but it was enough for him not to be released. Between this move and the Chargers releasing Mike Williams, they were able to clear up enough cap space to make the necessary moves. He'll remain one of the more dominant pass rushers in the NFL with the Chargers.
