Colin Kaepernick sits out preseason finale
by Daniel Rogers | Fri, Sep 4th 12:48pm EDT
Like most starters around the league, the 49ers' first-team offense sat out the preseason finale against the San Diego Chargers. Kaepernick had a very mediocre preseason. In the third preseason game, he went 2-for-5 with just 13 passing yards.
Fantasy Impact:
The below-average preseason Kaepernick has had thus far does not shape the type of season he and the 49ers' offense will have. Despite a questionable offensive line, this year's wide receiver core will be the best Kaepernick has ever thrown to. Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Vernon Davis, Bruce Ellington and Quinton Patton will all deploy both speed and trusty hands for Kaepernick. Our site has the 49ers' signal caller at No. 112 overall, making him a trusty QB2.
