Bradley Fletcher was released by the Patriots on Saturday, ESPN's Field Yates reports. Fletcher hasn't played since Week 2 when he picked up four tackles and a forced fumble in a win over the Bills, as the veteran cornerback had fallen to No. 5 on the depth chart. (Field Yates on Twitter)

Bradley Fletcher had a golden opportunity with the Patriots to win a starting corner back job and make an impact on defense this season. But Fletcher failed to distinguish himself and struggled in pass coverage. Fletcher may catch on with another team but will only be a depth signing.
