The Green Bay Packers have selected WR Matthew Golden with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact:
Golden becomes the third wide receiver selected in the draft, behind Tet McMillan at No. 8 and Emeka Egbuka at No. 19. The former Texas Longhorn blazed 4.29 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. This marks the first time the Packers have used a first-round pick on a wide receiver since they took Javon Walker in 2002. Golden doesn't profile as a typical No. 1 receiver in fantasy or real life but his elite speed makes him an interesting prospect who can play X, Z, and the slot for his new team.
