Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive standout Calijah Kancey tore his pectoral muscle on Monday night during the win over the Houston Texans and will require season-ending surgery. (Mike Garafolo)
Fantasy Impact:
The absence of Calijah Kancey is a significant blow to the Tampa Bay defense. The 24-year-old first-round pick (19th overall) has recorded 11.5 sacks, 55 tackles and 29 quarterback hits since he joined the league. It is also a personal blow to Kancey, who is contract extension eligible at the end of the 2025 season and would have wanted to put up elite stats to maximise any contract offer.
