Roy Lopez agrees to two-year deal with Cardinals

Roy Lopez and the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a two-year deal. The contract is worth $11.5 million with $7 million guaranteed. (Ian Rapoport on X)

Lopez returns to Arizona where he played 30 games in 2023 and 2024 and totaled 70 tackles, six tackles for a loss, and a sack in his two seasons. The veteran defensive tackle has played for Houston, Arizona, and Detroit in five career seasons and has 167 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, and five sacks. He appeared in all 17 games for the Lions last season and posted a career-high two sacks. Lopez has played roughly half of the defensive snaps in each of his five seasons and it's likely he'll play a similar role in 2026.
