Joe Mixon tells former teammates ‘career is likely over’

Joe Mixon has informed some former teammates that his career is “likely over”. The former Bengals and Texans running back asked for his release earlier this offseason after spending all of 2025 injured, and his request was granted. It’s sounding likely that he will not find a new team to play for, or at best will be a depth or practice squad piece. (Zain Dhanani on X)
Fantasy Impact:
It’s a sad ending for a running back who was among the best in the NFL during his prime. Mixon suffered a foot injury during the offseason last year and never recovered, and it didn’t help that an abundance of mystery shrouded his situation. He’s droppable in almost all dynasty formats.
