Shilique Calhoun works out as both LB and DE at Pro Day

At Michigan State's Pro Day, DE Shilique Calhoun performed drills as a defensive end for the New York Jets and worked out "in space" as a linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers. Calhoun also recorded a 7.13 second 3-cone drill, 0.16 of a second higher than his official combine time. (College Football 24/7)

Fantasy Impact:

Shilique Calhoun is one of those players who can transition into the NFL at multiple positions depending on the defensive scheme he's drafted into. Working out at both defensive end and linebacker shows off Calhoun's versatility, and his long arms and quickness off the edge will bring a pure pass rusher who can immediately come in and make an impact. Though his weight and age may be an issue, Calhoun is projected to be taken in the late-first to early-second round of April's NFL Draft.
