Wendell Smallwood will need to improve his pass protection ability if he wants to see more playing time during the regular season, according to Philly Voice. (Philly Voice)
Fantasy Impact:
Smallwood is a deep sleeper candidate entering the season. In college he proved effective as a runner and pass catcher, and the new Eagles' regime will look to use their RBs as receivers. While there are currently other veteran options ahead of him, Smallwood would seem to have the most long-term upside. While he's more of a dynasty target at this point, he could be an interesting lottery ticket in redraft leagues, especially those that allow keepers.
