Adrian Peterson has injured hamstring

Adrian Peterson (RB - FA)

Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer told the media after practice, that star running back Adrain Peterson recently tweaked his hamstring. “The week before (camp), he was working out (and) pulled his hammy a little bit,” Zimmer said. “He can do things, he just can’t turn it all the way loose. We’re just being careful with him.” (Vikings.com)

Fantasy Impact
Peterson is unlikely to see any carries in the preseason, as the Vikings like to save him from any unnecessary wear and tear. Barring a reinjury, Peterson should be ready for the start of the regular season and should be drafted early in the first round. Owners should make sure to draft Peterson's handcuff, Jerick McKinnon, just in case the injury persists.
