Sterling Shepard continues to shine in Week 3

Sterling Shepard (WR - NYG)

Sterling Shepard had a solid day in Week 3 against the Redskins posting a 5-73-1 line. He was targeted seven times and had one dropped pass late in the game. After only three games in 2016, Shepard has 16 receptions, 233 yards and two touchdowns.

Fantasy Impact
Shepard his immediately fit right into the Giants' offensive scheme. In standard and PPR leagues he is a solid WR3 play with WR2 upside. With Odell Beckham and Victor Cruz also lining up for the Giants, Shepard's ceiling is limited as both Beckham and Cruz will see their fair share of targets. Of course, the flip side to this is that Beckham and Cruz will draw coverage, enabling Shepard to take advantage of one-on-one defensive schemes as the season progresses. The Giants will next face a stout Vikings defense in Week 4 on Monday night which could make Shepard a tougher WR3 play in shallow leagues but given his success and rapport with Eli Manning thus far, it is hard to sit him for this contest.
