Darren Waller Fantasy Football Outlook (2026)

Carolina signed 33-year-old Darren Waller to a one-year deal on Aug. 12 to bolster a thin group of tight ends. Waller had 24 catches for 283 yards and six touchdowns in nine games in 2025 before sustaining a season-ending groin injury. The 6-foot-6 Waller is an inviting end-zone target, and TD potential is largely what drives his fantasy value. But Panthers QB Bryce Young has thrown 49 TD passes in 44 career starts, so Waller probably won't score often enough to warrant a roster spot in most fantasy leagues. The Waller signing renders Carolina's other tight ends -- Ja'Tavion Sanders, Mitchell Evans, and Tommy Tremble -- irrelevant for fantasy.
