Bryce Lance Week 1 Outlook - Saints at Lions

With Jordyn Tyson injured to begin the season, I expect Bryce Lance to be in the starting trio of receivers for the Saints. Lance could see a limited role in Week 1 as the team's field stretcher, but he could walk away with a strong stat line. In Lance's final collegiate season, among all FBS/FCS wide receivers with at least 50 targets, he ranked sixth in yards per route run, eighth in yards per reception, and eighth-best in receiving grade. Last year, in Weeks 12-18, Detroit struggled to defend the deep ball, giving up the second-most deep passing yards per game, the sixth-highest passer rating to deep passes, and the third- highest adjusted completion rate to deep passing. Lance is a deep league flex that could pay off handsomely in Week 1.
