Jaylen Warren Week 5 Outlook - Colts at Steelers

By Derek Brown (FantasyPros), Sun, Oct 11th 2026, 10:35am EDT

Jaylen Warren has been operating as Pittsburgh's bell cow in Rico Dowdle's absence. The latest news is that Dowdle is unlikely to play this week, which immediately vaults Warren from a back with a wide range of outcomes to being reinserted into bell cow status for Week 5. Among 46 qualifying backs, Warren is 14th in explosive run rate, sixth in yards after contact per attempt, and fourth-best in missed tackle rate. Over the last two games, Warren has been the RB8 and RB22 in weekly scoring without scoring any touchdowns. In that span, he has averaged 19.5 touches and 148 total yards. Warren should rip Indy apart this week. Indy has allowed the 11th-highest rushing success rate, the seventh-most yards before contact per attempt, and the seventh-highest missed tackle rate.
