View More NotesBrian Thomas Jr. is dealing with a shoulder injury. He practiced in a limited fashion all week and doesn't carry an injury designation into this game. He opened the week with a limited practice session on Wednesday. Last week, he had only a 50% route share, 13% target share, 40 receiving yards (3.33 YPRR), and a 16.7% first-read share. Even if he was fully healthy, I wouldn't want to play him this week. Last year, when Denver and Jacksonville tangled, Thomas Jr. was shadowed by Patrick Surtain, and I expect that to be the case again this week. Last year, Surtain followed Thomas Jr. on 78.8% of his routes, limiting him to one target, one reception, and nine receiving yards. Sit Thomas Jr. this week. He'll likely get blanketed again by Surtain this week.

Fantasy Impact
Thomas seemed healthy after dealing with a shoulder injury in Week 1. He wound up finishing second on the Jags in all receiving categories while drawing an encouraging eight targets. Thomas is clearly behind Parker Washington in the pecking order, but he appears to be ahead of Jakobi Meyers, making him a solid WR3 in fantasy moving forward. He will face the Patriots in Week 3.
