The Kansas City Chiefs have selected QB Garrett Nussmeier with the No. 249 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
The Kansas City Chiefs always make the smart draft pick. Patrick Mahomes is coming off a torn ACL, while Justin Fields has been a wildly inconsistent passer. Garrett Nussmeier was expected to be a mid-round pick. Now, he will likely be Mahomes' backup for the next few years. Nussmeier is worth stashing in deeper dynasty superflex leagues.
