A With or Without You split compares an NFL player's production in two groups of games. The in-sample group contains games that match the teammate filters you choose, while the out-of-sample group contains the remaining eligible games. FantasyPros then compares the player's per-game averages and totals for fantasy points and position-specific statistics, helping you evaluate start/sit, trade, and waiver questions.
How are in-sample games determined?
First, choose teammates in the With or Without groups. For an eligible subject-player game to enter the in-sample group, every With teammate must count as having played and every Without teammate must count as having not played. Any other eligible game enters the out-of-sample group. When no teammate filter is selected, all eligible games are in-sample, so there is not yet a comparison group.
What does Min Snaps do?
Min Snaps sets the number of recorded offensive snaps a player needs to count as having played in a game. At the default of one, a player needs at least one recorded snap to count as having played. Set it to zero to count every appearance. Above zero, the same threshold applies to the subject player and every selected teammate. A subject below the threshold is treated as DNP and excluded from both samples. When snap data is missing, a game with recorded stats counts as played, and a game with an all-zero stat line does not.
Which seasons are covered?
The tool covers NFL regular-season games from 2016 through the current season, with weeks selectable from Week 1 through Week 18. You can choose exact starting and ending weeks, but each comparison is limited to 90 weeks, or approximately five full seasons, so the results remain within the game-log service range.
