Marian Gaborik scores first two goals of season in win

Gaborik had Fortuna on his side throughout the game as his first two goals of the season were as untraditional as they get. The first came on a solo breakaway at 11:08 in the first, when Braden Holtby saved Gaborik's attempt, but the puck flipped up in the air and a backchecking defender popped it into his own net. The second was an empty-netter from inside his own blueline, after he unwittingly broke up a pass with his stick as the play unfolded behind his back, but to his credit he was first to realize the situation and used it to his advantage.
