Antti Raanta remains day-to-day with a lower body injury

Antti Raanta is still listed as day-to-day for the Coyotes, with their season set to begin on Thursday in Anaheim. (Craig Morgan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Antti Raanta missed all but 12 games in 2018-19 due to a knee injury, so this is obviously not an ideal situation entering the 2019-20 season. At this point it seems likely that Raanta will share the net with Darcy Kuemper this season, and any missed time will only benefit Kuemper. Darcy Kuemper preformed well during Raanta's absence last year, posting a 2.33 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage in 55 games. Kuemper has the ability to take starts from Raanta, especially if Raanta misses some time. We are likely looking at something of a timeshare in Arizona, which is never ideal for fantasy.
