After Pyotr Kochetkov struggled in consecutive games, the Hurricanes turned back to the red-hot Raanta, and he came back down to earth in this one. The Hurricanes are quickly finding themselves in the middle of a goaltending problem, as it seems like they can not trust either healthy netminder right now. This is a fluid situation to monitor with Frederik Andersen getting closer to a return, too. Raanta's record of 10-2-3, with a 2.63 GAA and a .894 SV%. should put him in the running for at least the backup gig, but Kochetkov has shown a higher ceiling this season. It remains to be seen what the Canes will do, but if you roster Raanta, keep track of any news regarding the other two as well.
