Vitek Vanecek was solid in the crease for the Devils Friday night, stopping 31 of 33 shots faced in a 6-2 win over the Ducks.

Vanecek has been a consistent option in net for the Devils of late, allowing three goals or less in each of his last nine appearances (5-3-0, .917 save percentage) for the club. The 27-year-old netminder has made the most of a consistent opportunity as the No. 1 goaltender for a formidable New Jersey squad, carrying a 2.35 GAA and .914 save percentage in 28 appearances (17-5-2) in the crease so far this season.
