Alexis Lafreniere notched one assist in the Rangers' 6-5 loss to the Sharks Thursday night.

Lafreniere has struggled to make an impact in the offensive zone of late, picking up points for the first time in his last seven games in the loss Thursday night. The 24-year-old has opened the season as one of many frustrating options as part of an underperforming New York lineup for head coach Mike Sullivan to begin the season.
