Matthew Schaefer picked up one assist in the Islanders' 5-3 loss to the Kings Thursday night.

Schaefer has heated up in the offensive zone since the Olympic break, recording points in three of his last five games (four goals, two assists) for the Islanders. The 18-year-old continues to reward fantasy managers with an impactful option while leading the New York blueline group for head coach Patrick Roy, tallying 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) in 63 games so far this season.
